Meet The Team
What is MUNRISE?
MUNRISE returns to the circuit with its second-ever conference. Once more, we look to our founding principles of research, ideation, strategy, and execution to guide this year’s conference. At its core, MUNRISE has always been about the development of these skills, and we hope to do just that at this year’s conference.
In an increasingly complex world, MUN gives young minds the chance to break down problems and discover their voice. MUNRISE wants to use this platform to not only visit issues that closely impact this generation but also to promote sustainability, which is of the utmost importance in today’s age.
Letter from the Secretariat
“Politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.” – Charles de Gaulle
Esteemed delegates,
Two years ago, the most pressing issue in the world seemed to be the pandemic. While there is a lot to rejoice about the COVID-19 pandemic finally being over, the wounds it left behind are far from being healed. The post-pandemic world brings with it a mask-free populace that’s still dealing with high levels of inflation, housing shortage, the unemployment rate rising, and the ever-present issue of climate change.
The long-awaited second edition of MUNRISE returns this year to give a platform to contemplate and resolve global issues that have a direct impact on the students of today, in order to help us become better citizens of tomorrow.
Delegates, a lot has happened in our world since last year’s MUN. The Sharia Law, cryptocurrency, and sustainability are just some of the new developments that must be examined and deliberated on. It is imperative that our conferences reflect the current state of affairs, for better or for worse.
At MUNRISE 2023, we look to bring forth agendas that are relevant to our delegates, so as to encourage maximum participation. As situations grow direr, now more than ever we need the hope and innovation of the youth. We hope that you keep this in mind as you engage not only in this conference but also in the world at large.
MUNRISE – for peace and prosperity.
Regards,
The Secretariat
